This traveling exhibit showcased the science behind the Terracotta Warriors and uncovered how and why they were made. Immersive and multi-sensory experiences were designed to transport visitors in time and place and illustrate the challenges today’s archaeologists and conservators faced as they pieced together history through this remarkable 2,000-year-old discovery.

An immersive experience was designed to transport visitors and demonstrate what it would have been like in the original pits. Projection mapping was used to help illustrate what the warriors may have looked like at the time they were created and how they deteriorated over time.

Immersive experience and concept designed by Gecko Group in collaboration with Klip Collective and Universal Services Associates. Video and projection mapping by Klip Collective.
